35 Indian students offered UG and PG Programmes in New Zealand

As an initiative to strengthen ties with India, an education agency in New Zealand on Wednesday, May 4, 2016, announced programmes in graduation and post graduation for 35 Indian scholars. The programmes will take place in top eight universities of New Zealand in Mathematics and Engineering, Science and Technology, Fashion and Business.

India is the second largest source of foreign students for New Zealand
There was a 20 percent increase in the number of students pursuing education in 2015 when compared to those in 2014
21,093 students were issued visas for New Zealand in December 2015

While the focus is in theSouthern regions of India, Education New Zeal and (ENZ) has announced certain strategic initiatives for the next quarter for Indian Market
Earlier this week, Pranab Mukherjee became the first Indian President to have made an official visit to New Zealand
Indian President along with New Zealand's Tertiary Education Skills and Employment Minister, Steevan Joyce announced the university scholarship programme for Indian students in the country
