Girls outshone boys in the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) Class 12 results.
As the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has released the results for the Higher Secondary Part Two, Annual 2016 (Regular) for Jammu zone, the statistics have come in favour of girls in the region.
According to an Indian Express report, girls outshone boys in thees Class 12 reults securing the top positions in various streams. Around 42234 students took the exam and as many as 20849 passed the exam. Out of 101 seats, girls got 67 slots in various streams.

Muskan Bhan of St Xavier Convent Higher Secondary School, Barnai and Vijay Lakshmi of Brahmrishi Bawra Shanti Vidya Peeth Higher Secondary School, Udhampur, have secured first position in the Science stream with 489 marks
In the commerce stream, Palak Gupta from Shiksha Niketan Higher Secondary School Jeevan Nagar has secured first position with 484 marks
Another girl from Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Iqra Banoo has secured 475 marks in the Home Science stream
Coming into existence in 1975, J&K state board education was divided into two sessions-- summer and winter. The Board had released the Class 10 results on February 6 and Class 12 Part-2 results on 12th February.
